Giving this the old college try. Once more, with feeling!
Back again by popular demand personally requesting that everyone on the MD discord join me in migrating back to this - a more private, community-based and chill - "social media" of yore. I've missed it ♥
Guess it also means I need to start writing here again. I mean, I want to. And I fully intend to. tumblr never captured fandom culture & community the way eljay did, and given how its active fandom userbase keeps shrinking and how stale and less functional that platform is progressively getting - in its attempts to garner new users and a better revenue stream (alienating its older user base and turning into a twitter clone while it's at it)... why wouldn't I want to recapture the joys of the tried and true concept of journaling with friends (like it's the early '00s) again?
In terms of format, in general I'm a sucker for well-formatted, focused and often paragraph/bullet point posts over stream-of-consciousness style writing. But, the goal this time is to not get bogged down by form, and instead aim for consistency in posting and interacting. I lead a fairly busy life so it's the only chance this will have of surviving. So I guess we will see what kind of balance I manage to strikesummer 2023. At any rate, it's good to be back!
